At Inspire Academy, we believe that every young person has the potential to achieve, grow and make a positive difference. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive and inspiring learning environment where every pupil feels valued, respected and empowered to succeed.

Our school community is built on high expectations, positive relationships and a shared belief that every pupil deserves the opportunity to thrive. We recognise that success looks different for everyone, and we celebrate each step forward, whether through academic achievement, personal development, positive choices or acts of kindness.

At the heart of everything we do is our motto: At Inspire, We RISE!

More than just words, RISE represents the values that guide our actions, shape our relationships and inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves.

Our RISE Values

Our four core values — Respect, Inspire, Stay Safe and Empower — are the foundations of our school culture. They provide a shared language and a clear set of expectations that help every member of our community learn, grow and succeed.

R – Respect: "I treat myself and others well."

Respect is at the heart of our community. We encourage every pupil to value themselves, appreciate others and recognise the importance of kindness, fairness and understanding.

We believe that positive relationships are essential for successful learning. By listening to one another, celebrating differences and treating everyone with dignity, we create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all pupils feel a sense of belonging.

Respect means taking pride in ourselves, our learning, our school and the way we treat the people around us.

I – Inspire: "I try, learn and encourage others."

At Inspire Academy, we believe that inspiration begins with having the courage to try.

We encourage our pupils to be curious, ambitious and resilient, embracing new challenges and recognising that mistakes are an important part of learning.

We celebrate effort, progress and perseverance, helping pupils develop the confidence to aim high and believe in their abilities.

Inspiration is also about lifting others up. Through encouragement, teamwork and celebrating each other's achievements, we build a community where everyone can shine.

S – Stay Safe: "I help keep myself and others safe."

Feeling safe is fundamental to learning, wellbeing and personal development.

We are committed to providing a nurturing and secure environment where every pupil feels listened to, supported and protected.

We help pupils understand how to make safe and responsible choices, recognise risks, develop healthy relationships and know when and how to ask for help.

Staying safe is a shared responsibility. By looking out for ourselves and one another, we create a school community built on trust, care and belonging.

E – Empower: "I believe I can make positive choices."

We believe every pupil has a voice, a purpose and the ability to shape their own future.

At Inspire Academy, we empower young people to develop independence, take responsibility for their actions and make positive choices that support their learning, wellbeing and personal growth.

We encourage pupils to recognise their strengths, overcome challenges and develop the confidence and skills they need to navigate the world around them.

Through meaningful opportunities, encouragement and support, we help every pupil understand that their choices matter and that they have the power to make a positive difference.

Our Vision

To build a community where every student feels safe, respected and empowered to shape their future. We inspire one another to aim high, keep learning and make positive choices that strengthen our school and the world beyond.

Our vision reflects our belief that education is about more than academic achievement. It is about developing confident, compassionate and resilient young people who are equipped with the knowledge, skills and values to lead fulfilling lives.

We strive to create a culture where pupils feel a strong sense of belonging, where individual achievements are recognised and where everyone is encouraged to reach their full potential.

Through strong relationships, high aspirations and a commitment to continuous improvement, we work together to ensure that every pupil has the opportunity to succeed, both in school and beyond.

Living Our Values Every Day

At Inspire Academy, our RISE values are not simply displayed on our walls — they are embedded in the way we learn, communicate, behave and support one another.

They guide our daily interactions, inform our decisions and help us celebrate the positive contributions that make our school community special.

We want every pupil to leave Inspire Academy with more than knowledge and qualifications. We want them to develop self-belief, resilience, empathy and the confidence to make positive choices throughout their lives.

By working in partnership with pupils, families, staff and the wider community, we aim to create an environment where everyone feels proud to belong.

Together, We RISE!

At Inspire Academy, we know that great things happen when we support one another, believe in our potential and work towards a shared purpose.

Every day brings new opportunities to show respect, inspire others, stay safe and make empowered choices.

We RISE through respect.

We RISE by inspiring one another.

We RISE by keeping ourselves and others safe.

We RISE by making positive choices.

Together, we build confidence, celebrate progress and create brighter futures.

Inspire Academy — At Inspire, We RISE!

Inspire Academy believes Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural values and British Values are at the core of what we do. These include the concepts and ideas of democracy, law, individual liberty, respect and tolerance.

We believe that SMSC and British Values curriculum underpins all areas of our school; the ethos, the curriculum and the relationship with our wider community. We recognise that SMSC/ British Values are a key to preparing our students for their futures within British society.

We encourage our students to be thoughtful and tolerant citizens who will contribute in a positive way to the society of which they are a part.

We encourage our students to explore and respect other faiths and beliefs as well as encouraging them to explore their own feelings and their own identity.  This is done through the curriculum, KS3 and KS4 assemblies and in our everyday interactions at break and lunchtimes.

We encourage our students to recognize right from wrong, to respect The Rule of Law and are they are given opportunities to make the right choices for themselves. Our students are taught about the consequences of making poor choices.

Students are taught to appreciate different and diverse viewpoints and engage with the British Value of Democracy within the school community. Restorative Justice is one way for our pupils to resolve conflicts, build relationships and function more harmoniously within our school.

Different cultural values are celebrated including those of the students themselves.
